Some past events
The 'Love ya Babe' tour was a great success, despite the worst three weeks of weather this year! But we made it everywhere and had a wonderful time. Hi to all the amazing people I met in London, the South East, Birmingham and the North of England.
Check out your photos!
Special congratulations to Jasmine at Eastbourne School who won the Young Writer Competition with her poem on 'Perfection'.
Book Week was fun as always. Big thanks to the students and staff of Penrice School, Lipson College, Pool School, St Ives and Mounts Bay for busy and brilliant days.
Had a great Book Week this year. Here I am at Penrice School with some shy fans hiding behind my books.
Lipson College students working hard.
Thank you, Exmouth College, for a brilliant day. It makes a huge difference if schools prepare their students properly for my visits. I had a great time and I was so impressed by all the work the students had done on my books.
I was thrilled to bits with my wonderful "Love ya babe" cake and the yummy "32C, That's me" chocolate cake too!
It was great to talk to Year 6 students at Bodmin and Launceston libraries recently. Thanks for the lovely letters, St Joseph's School. Some of them made me laugh out loud and all of them made me feel very proud.
"A Perfect Ten" was launched, most appropriately, at Penzance Gymnastics Club! Here are some of the gymnasts listening to Eva's account of the Intermediate competition. Luckily, they gave it their approval!
"A Perfect Ten" at Mounts Bay School recently. Looking forward to meeting up again soon with the Year 9s.
Great to meet Peri and Amelia in Plymouth. Keep reading the books girls!
This has to be my youngest audience ever at Plymouth Telling Tales Event.
Here I am chatting to St Ives School Book Groups at the launch of "It's a 50/50 thing". Thanks guys, for all your help.
Had fun launching it again at St Ives Library in the evening and partying afterwards.
It was good to meet up with Nottingham students when "Pride and Penalties" was short-listed for the "Brilliant Book Awards".
World Book Day at St Ives School. The Book Groups here like to test-drive my books and always come up with some brilliant suggestions. Thanks guys for all your help.
Had a great time at Newquay Tretherras School.
Here I am at Pilton College where I had a lively discussion with the boys who complained that although they liked my books they thought the covers were too girly. I had to agree with them and blamed my publisher! I suggested they do the same as a boy at St Ives School: he reads them inside a newspaper!
I really enjoyed the launch of "32C, That's Me". Here are my four daughters having a good time at the party.
I was given a wonderful cake to help me celebrate. Do you think they make cakes in the shape of a skateboard?
Had a great time at the South West Heat of the World Lit Quiz recently. Here is a photo of the teams from Exmouth Community College.
Here's another one of Wayne Mills, the Quiz Master, and me with the winning team, Truro School. Congratulations to all the teams who took part and good luck in the World Final in Oxford.
