My Christmas present to you is…..
Not one, not two, but THREE new Chris Higgins books will be coming out next year. Don’t want to say too much at the moment but for those of you who enjoyed “He’s After Me!” there will be another young adult book out towards the end of 2012. And before that, younger readers can look forward to the first books of two brand new series next summer. Will be updating information about these in the new year. Happy Christmas!!!

Christmas is coming.
Aargh! I need to get on with my latest book but Christmas is coming and there are cards to post and presents to buy and parties to go to…..and two very excited little boys who can’t wait for Santa to come. Just been to a Christmas tree festival at Sennen near Lands End where there were 29 brilliantly decorated trees all telling different stories. Amazing!

Northern Children’s Book Festival
Lovely to be back up in the north-east again recently. Loved meeting the students from Marden Bridge, Benfield Rd, Joseph Swan and Lord Lawson’s. Good to see so many keen writers among you! Thanks to all of you who’ve already emailed me. Don’t forget to join the forum.

Films of books.
Saw the new film of the book “We need to talk about Kevin” yesterday. Dark, dark, dark! Lionel Shriver was there answering questions at the end. Sooo interesting! I wonder if someone will make a film of one of my books one day…..

Beach Time
When you spend most of your time in front of a computer writing like me, sometimes you just have to get out on a beach and have fun. All you need is two lively kids, a friendly dog and an inquisitive seal.
